About this editorial team

Pierre Gobert has tracked the Belgian market since 2015 and verifies every claim with an emphasis on land casinos. Works from Namur.

How we test. we open an account ourselves, stake money with Bancontact, request a withdrawal and time every step. Licence status is verified directly with the Gaming Commission and check what the terms actually say.

Weekly limit, age bar and exclusion

Player protection in Belgium is arranged above the European average in strictness and you notice it at signup. Each site automatically applies a €200 weekly ceiling. Dropping that limit is possible at any moment, going beyond that takes a review and time.

Exclusion runs centrally through the EPIS register: the block covers every licence holder in the country. The register is not public. For casino, gaming hall and betting the bar has been 21 since September 2024; only the National Lottery stays at 18. The bar is statutory, not a house rule.
